Man in life-threatening condition after being shot in the face in Northwest Jacksonville

Another man was grazed in the neck and is in stable condition, police say

In Northwest Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon, a shooting incident unfolded, leading to the hospitalization of two individuals. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Karen Dukes reported that the police received notification of the shooting around 2:15 p.m. on Mississippi Court off Richardson Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the face, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

As the investigation progressed, it was revealed that a second victim had fled on foot, reaching a residence on Rhode Island Drive. This individual, found to have been grazed in the neck, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The identities of the victims were not disclosed, and no arrests have been made.
