Police are looking for two persons of interest and have released footage showing one driving the victims’ Kia Optima, while the other is seen driving a dark-colored pickup truck. The person of interest in the pickup truck is observed talking to the driver of the victims’ car. The case is described as an “unspeakable tragedy,” and detectives are examining social media, cellphone records, and surveillance videos to piece together events leading up to the deaths.
Soto was reported missing on December 22, and her family became concerned after she missed a scheduled medical appointment. The pregnant teen had passed her delivery date, and her mother, Gloria Cordova, mentioned that Savanah was excited about the impending arrival of the baby. When Soto did not show up at the hospital for the scheduled induction, her family contacted the police. Detectives are hopeful that surveillance video evidence will shed light on the events leading up to the tragic deaths. The case is still under investigation, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
