Jacksonville Beach police find missing teenage girl safe

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is currently conducting a search for a missing 17-year-old girl, Kate A. Fennell, who was last seen by her father on Wednesday night. The teenager was reported missing from the area of America Avenue and Jacksonville Drive at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday. It is suspected that Kate left the area sometime between 1:15 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, but her direction and method of travel are unknown.

Kate Fennell is described as being five feet and four inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a bright red shirt with the words “God is dope” written on the front.

Authorities are urging anyone who has seen Kate or has information about her whereabouts to contact the Jacksonville Beach Police Department at 904-270-1667 and ask for Detective Burrell.
